I'm Not Really Sure What Happened Today

 Friday  (5/11/2010)...

We have had numerous meetings of the Congress regarding the debacle in the Gulf.  The oil contamination of the tender wetlands and the destruction of God's creatures both above and below the sea.  We have Congress making determinations about who is to blame instead of what can we do to stop the bleeding.  Mother Nature is bleeding and we need to be focused on repairing the damage we (Yes, We) created.

This may be called "Obama's Katrina".  But, I am not concerned about blame.  We need to assist the companies that are responsible by helping to stop or remedy this disaster.  This could and will affect our own survival.  People dependent upon this resource for subsistence (Food and Water) will be impacted.  Contact your representatives and have them come up with solutions to stop the flow of oil from the earth's floor at this location and not focus on blame at this most critical time.  This administration isn't doing anything! This is impacting the shrimping and fishing constituents in the Gulf.  We have talented Civil Engineering minds with the US Army Corp of Engineers as well as great scientific minds in NASA and the like.  Why aren't we trying to assist in pulling out all Stops to curb this ecological disaster.  We did it with Katrina when the Corp raised the levee's.  All this government thinks about is money and the hell with our survival.

We need to pray that God and Mother Nature can come up with a solution to limit the damage to our environment.  Government is not helping.

We also need to pray for the folks in the Nashville area.  These folks have lost their homes, food and possessions to a great (Freaky) flood not seen for many, many years.  Unfortunately, we have not seen much in the news about the communities ravaged by these floods. Maybe they didn't make the "Good Guy" list or the right persuasion.  They ARE in our prayers.

Amen...

Thank You, Mike Kurek
